Naso – Count

This week’s Torah reading is Naso.  It comes right after we celebrated the Yom Tov of Shavuous, the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai.  We stand united as a nation, listening to the 10 Commandments from the Al-mighty.  This was a very powerful event.

In the Torah reading we also have a powerful event.  The Temple is being dedicated.  Each day a leader from a different tribe brings an offering.  This goes on for the 12 days, 1 for each tribe and their leader.  This showed their bond and their greatness.  Their harmony helped bring the Shecheena, the Al-mighty’s presence into the Temple and completes the process with Moshe going into the Temple and communicating with the Al-mighty.

Let us hope that we take with us the spirit of the Yom Tov, remain connected to one another and shortly we will be able to experience the 3rd Temple and the Al-mighty’s presence once again
